In Data Quality Management

Happy Friday everyone! It’s been an eventful week with DemandCon, the LinkedIn IPO, and, best of all, Austin finally getting some rain! Let’s check out some of the best content from around the blogosphere this week:

1. The Wild West Meets Wall Street

Why not start with a recap of the LinkedIn IPO? As Chad Bockius from Socialware (@socialware) writes, the growth of social networks is quite similar to our expansion into the Wild West: no precedents, no rules, no boundaries, no way of knowing what to expect. People can speculate all they want on the over- or under-valuation of LinkedIn, but we really have no way of knowing where it will go. Read Chad’s full post on the Socialware blog here: The Wild West Meets Wall Street

2. How Nathan Dube Sold Me a Printer via Twitter

This is a cool personal story from Dianna Huff (@diannahuff) that demonstrates the power of Twitter for direct prospecting. I know, I know, not everyone’s going to be able to sell their products or services directly over Twitter (especially if your ASP is in the tens of thousands of dollars), but the point remains: social networks can be great tools for building relationships and trust with prospects. 3. 100 Awesome Marketing Stats, Charts & Graphs

I’ve been casually perusing this deck from HubSpot (@HubSpot) all week. There’s a lot of cool data here, and I’ve been finding slides all week that I’ve bookmarked for use in the future. Check out this presentation and find some data gold for yourself here: 100 Awesome Marketing Stats, Charts & Graphs

4. 13 Tips for Creating a Top-Ranked Blog

If you’ve already checked out the HubSpot deck from above, you know how effective blogging can be for helping your inbound traffic. (Example: Companies that blog have 55% more website visitors than those that don’t) With that in mind, check out this list from MarketingProfs (@MarketingProfs) on how to create a top-ranked blog from scratch. Dont’ worry it’s not as hard as it sounds. Check out the full list here: 13 Tips for Creating a Top-Ranked Blog
